Login your account at the My Account link as below:

While on this page, note your domain name and the Manage Account link, first click on the domain, so that we can gather the IP information as shown here:

Information Collection & Domain Prep

Click on the domain name:

Then copy the IP address from the information on the right side of the page:

Once you are logged in, you should first go to the Domain Manager, linked on the left.

Here you are able to manage all of your sites. We only need to do one thing here, but it needs to be done for EACH domain that you plan to use MU in.

Click on the domain name from the list in the Domain Manager. You can now access the Total DNS Control area in the middle, lower area of the page. This opens the editor for the domain selected, you simply click on “Add a new A record” in the upper right portion of the screen and insert an astrisk * in the Host Name and then the IP from before as the Points To Address. Click OK, confirm its pending and then close the Domain Manager.

The domains going to take a while to set this up.. Usually about 15 minutes. While we wait, we’ll setup the database because that will take time also..

You should be looking at the list of accounts, if not just log back into your account - the first two steps in this guide. Click on Manage Account this time, make sure to select the account that you are installing to. It does not matter if that account has many websites in it or just one, it’s all downhill from here.

Database Setup

In the white bars below the initial selection is an area for Databases and MySQL, open the MySQL and in the next window that opens, follow these instructions:

1) Click Create Database in the upper right.

2) Complete the information on the left:

2.a) Enter a description, this is a personal note for you to identify the database later.

2.b) Enter a Database Name - make this secure like ‘home90249′ or ‘mu293748734′ - you won’t use this on a daily basis so make it secure!

2.c) Enter the password, same notations as for the Database Name, make this secure!

2.d) Ignore the Read Only username and passwords below.

Now we’ll gather information and finish it off.

3) Copy all information in detail to a safe location off the internet.

4) On the right, select 5.0 and then ensure that Direct Access is set to No.

5)  Click OK

6) Now keep checking on this till its done.
!!Right now is a great time to upload your website if not already completed!!

7) Once setup, click on the little Information icon to the right of its listing.

8 ) Copy the Database URL.

Install Process

I’m assuming that you’ve not only installed the domain settings and database (from above) but also re-visited them to ensure they are not still Pending Setup.

Visit your websites URL, the install is on-web for this last portion.

Fill in the database information as noted through this guide.

The username and database name are the same.

Use a real email address that you won’t lose access to. Ever.

Please for the love of God, make sure that you select subfolders, subdomains are hit and miss, subfolders works just fine.

Now your ready for install - go ahead and submit the information.

On this first page you get the password for your admin account, this will be needed when you login, however you can always use your e-mail request to regain access.
